Last week, Ciudad Pegaso celebrated a very special holiday called
Halloween. This is a holiday celebrated in many countries in the world and is becoming very popular in Spain. This year, the school once again took part in many of the traditions and festivities that make this holiday quite exciting!
During the week, students and teachers decorated the classroom doors in very creative ways to celebrate Halloween. Many of the students and teachers dressed in different
costumes. Some were
witches, dressed mostly in black and wearing black pointed hats. Others were
monsters, with their faces and clothes painted with blood.
The children of the first and second grade watched a wonderful Halloween play presented by
Nerea, the 1st grade English teacher, and
Irene, the 2nd grade English teacher. The two played witches trying to make a magic
potion using many unusual, and sometimes disgusting,
ingredients. With the help of the little ones, and even some of the teachers present, the ladies performed a magic
spell in order to create a fantastic creation. The kids were highly entertained!
The children in grades 3 through 6 were invited to visit a special
haunted house. Set up by the school’s assistants, the children entered the haunted house and were surrounded by complete
darkness, so they could not see a thing! There was also some scary music and even featured scary moments. A lot of the kids were
frightened and mesmerized. They greatly enjoyed it!
Once again, Halloween at Ciudad Pegaso was a great success!
